Jung Il Ki was selected to receive this scholarship because of his efforts for making a better US and Korean relations. He has given so much of his time to teach and show the real Korean culture and customs. He not only looks for US personnel to talk to and teach but he also takes the time to teach his class mates about the US culture and he has also taken them to meet US personnel. This young hard charging student was very thankful and embarrassed to be selected to receive this 1 million won scholarship. He is now envied by so many of his class mates for his achievement. Jung Il Ki has made a big difference at how many university students think of US personnel here in Korea.
