See the building plans

Members of the Post Building Committee met in Houston with several design and build general contractors in early December to arrive at concept plans for the Post Home. We retained a land-planning firm to lay out the footprint to maximize our capability on the property. On 29 January we received sets of landscape plans with several options for the footprint for the building and these were reviewed and the footprint that optimized the building and the use of land was chosen. We had several elevation plans for the building, and the best selection was presented at the March N. TX meeting and will be available in France to go on to Dhaharan. A copy of the proposed elevations will be at future Post meetings and should soon be available on the web page. The next step will be to finish raising the balance that we need to build it, then make it happen. Updates as they occur!

THE SEVEN CONTINENTS CLUB
(Only CP1 members eligible)
Honorary memberships available

In 1979 Dr Gale Raymond held the first (that I could find in the records) recorded China Post meeting at the North Pole. Since then we have expanded to cover over 59 countries and all 50 States as well as all of the Territories of the US. On the 21st of January 2002, CP member, Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Honorable Craig Duehring flew Post Flags that Senator Goldwater had flown for the Post, as well as Watering Hole Banners over the South Pole. Concurrent on that date, Post members met on all the other 6 Continents giving us the unique (never to be surpassed) ability to start the "Seven Continents Club" as a distinction available to 2002 CP members. We are in the process of designing a Certificate to mark this event and will establish the process of distribution in the near future. [Its already here!] If there was ever a doubt, we truly earned the sobriquet "Worldwide" on our letterhead. We need to raise another $400,000 to build our building. Part of the solution will be to request corporate and foundation money, the other is to sell 4,000 Seven Continent Club certificates at $100 each. We will be making several presentations at the National AL Convention to salt the mine and see how far his takes us.

Email the Post Commander Fred Platt for information on the Seven Continents Club
