David Goodman

April 15, 1950 to July 2, 2019

David Leon Goodman, went into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. He was born on April 15, 1950 to Max and Gladys Goodman in Wenatchee, Washington, where he was raised. After graduating from Wenatchee High School in 1968, Dave volunteered to join the United States Marine Corps, where he served two tours in the Vietnam War. When he completed his service, he resided in California. During his first marriage, he welcomed his first son, Jayson. He then went on to work in the Petrochemical Industry, where he traveled to many parts of the world. While on vacation in the Philippines, Dave met the love of his life, his second wife, Jocelyn. They married June 5, 1982 and had three children together. With Dave working around the world, he settled his family back in his hometown of Wenatchee and he continued to work in the Petrochemical Industry until his retirement in 2015. In his spare time, Dave loved to go camping, fishing, and working on various projects with his tools. He was an avid sports fan and was always watching and cheering on the Seattle Mariners. David was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in Wenatchee and a Masada Shriner out of Yakima. He belonged to the American Canadian Grand Lodge in Saudi Arabia.
David is survived by his wife, Jocelyn, his children Jayson (Katie) Hunter, Samantha (Brandon) Blackburn, Mathew (Crystal) Goodman, Lexie (Luz) Goodman-Estrada, his five grandchildren Kayley, Chloe, Evie, Chase and Benjamin, his sisters Carol Worthington and Judy Snitley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Gladys Goodman.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 4pm-8pm at Jones and Jones- Betts Funeral Home. Services will be held at the Wenatchee Masonic Center on Thursday, July 11th at 5:30 pm with a reception to follow.
